* Here is what
you are getting with flat rates and why you should choose them!
Flat
rates include up to 3 revisions, which guarantees your satisfaction.
Flat rates for
mixing/mastering mean that the services are
performed without the client present. You will receive your finals
for approval via email or CD, or will be invited in to listen at the
studio at the engineer's discretion. This is a really good deal over
hourly rates because it typically takes 3-8 hours to properly mix a
song, and as much as 3 hours to master one. ("Rush fees"
may apply for work done on tight deadlines. Some very complex
projects may not qualify for these rates.)
Instrument
Rental Options:
Rates vary from $25-$75 per instrument. Please inquire about
availability of instruments. Some selections are offered at no cost.
Pre-Production Meeting
This Meeting serves as the foundation of the ideals behind the project. We communicate with the artist about their concepts for the entire project are and what direction they want to take with each song.Tracking/Writing
This is the second stage where we lay down the essential chords, beats and instrumentation. This process usually takes anywhere from 2 days - 2 weeks dependent upon the prep of the artist (i.e. if the track written and received in multi-track digital from or if the artist has only vocals and single instrument).Overdubbing
This is the part of the process where we focus on the solo work and instrumental harmonies within the track. It is often takes place during the time period directly after the tracking of the essential instrumentation. We maintain a roster of studio musicians who are available for session work.Editing/Arranging
With music we believe it is important have clean transitions between parts and to keep the integrity of the track through the arrangement of these parts. Usually this process takes about 1-2 days depending on the complexity of the track and the manner in which it was recorded.Mixing
This is where the pieces come together. Mixing is one of the most important aspects of creating music. It defines your sound and reels the listener in to listen to the nuances your music. Mixing times varies in length due to quality of recording and performance. Generally you can expect each song to take about 8 hours to be mixed to fit the standards of everyone involved.Mastering
This can make or break a record. Luckily you have some of the best mastering engineers in the industry at your disposal. Time spent in Mastering depends on length of the project and continuity of the mixes. Two weeks is typical for the submission date.
